Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro review
The beautiful Tiger 900
First things first, this bike looks mean. The design is a head-turner, and Triumph nailed it with the sleek lines. It’s not overly flashy, but you can tell it means business just by looking at it. Most of the comments we get for the bike are positive.
Engine: Now, the engine. That 900cc triple-cylinder engine is a beauty. It’s got a punchy midrange that makes highway cruising a breeze, and it’s got enough power in all the gears. The sound of that Triumph triple is like music to a rider’s ears as it always has been.
Handling: Handling is where the GT Pro shines. It’s surprisingly nimble for a bike its size. You can weave through city traffic or carve up some twisty mountain roads without breaking a sweat. The suspension setup is on point – it soaks up bumps perfectly, giving you a smooth ride. Also for short and lighter riders the handling is perfect, where the weight seems to disappear once you get moving.
Electronics: Tech-wise, the GT Pro is loaded. The TFT display is amazing and easy to navigate, and you’ve got all the riding modes and electronics you could ask for. The menu structure could be more comprehensive, and the joystick feels a little finnicky especially pressing it, but these are minor points. All in all out of the box the Pro version comes with all the extra’s you would need.
Comfort: Comfort is good. The ergonomics are good for long rides, but the seat could be comfier. If you’re planning some touring, there is cruise control to make it a breeze. Also the GT Pro version has heated seats both rider and passenger, and heated grips, making even the coldest days bearable. The seat height is low, and have 2 positions making it a great option for the shorter riders (Marleen can maneuver this bike much easier than the CB500x before this).
Overall, the Tiger 900 GT Pro is a solid adventure-touring machine. It’s got the looks, the power, and the tech to make any rider grin like a maniac. If you’re in the market for a versatile, do-it-all kind of bike, the GT Pro should definitely be on your radar.
